Canyon Lake Hit-And-Run Injures 2 Women In Golf Cart: RSO
The suspected hit-and-run driver was found and arrested two days later. She is a Canyon Lake resident, the sheriff's department reported.

CANYON LAKE, CA — A 41-year-old Canyon Lake woman who was arrested on Memorial Day on suspicion of hit-and-run in her neighborhood is no longer in custody, jail records show.
Misty Dawn Farrand was released from jail the same day as her arrest after she posted a $25,000 bail bond, according to the records.
Farrand's 1:45 p.m. May 26 arrest came after an investigation into a crash two days earlier at Canyon Lake and Gray Fox drives in Canyon Lake.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, at 4:50 p.m. Friday, May 24, deputies with the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station were called to the crash scene where they found "a major injury traffic collision involving a golf cart and a vehicle."
Investigators determined that a black Kia SUV collided with the golf cart while both vehicles were heading south on Canyon Lake Drive.

Two women in the golf cart suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
"The black Kia SUV fled the scene, and witnesses stated that the driver was an adult female," according to the sheriff's department.
Investigators processed evidence, followed up with witness leads, and eventually identified Farrand as the Kia driver.
Jail records show she was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of felony hit-and-run with injuries.
