Employment Opportunities Highlighted At Job Fair

Residents looking for work might want to save March 6 on their calendars. On that date, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Riverside County Workforce Investment Board will be hosting a job fair at the Temecula Civic Center.

The Southwest Job Fair and Healthcare Career Showcase will feature employers from throughout Southwest Riverside County including Southwest Healthcare Systems, New York Life, Harvest Wellness, Advantage Staffing, Lowe’s, Cryoquip and others, according to a news release from the Workforce Investment Board.

Job seekers will also have a chance to hear from two panels that will be discussing job opportunities in the healthcare field. Panelists will include local HR professionals and colleges including Mt. San Jacinto College, California State University San Marcos, Azusa Pacific University and San Joaquin Valley College, according to the news release.

The event will focus on helping people learn more about securing sustainable jobs, the news release stated. Regional workforce sectors that have been identified as sustainable through recessionary times include healthcare, green technology and professional service jobs, the news release stated.

“We want to make sure that local residents know about the great career possibilities in healthcare today,” said Morris Myers of Workforce Investment Board. “We want to give future workers access to career paths that will be sustainable for the long term.”

The Southwest Job Fair and Healthcare Career Showcase will take place at the Temecula Civic Center located at 41000 Main Street, Temecula, CA  92590.
