New Brush Fire In Riverside County 60 Percent Contained At 55 Acres: Officials
The blaze, dubbed the Crump Fire, was first reported at 12:33 p.m. Saturday, according to Cal Fire.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A new brush fire that broke out in Riverside County on Saturday afternoon remains at 55 acres and is now 60 percent contained, Cal Fire wrote on X, as of 7:20 p.m. Saturday night.
"All evacuation orders have been downgraded to warnings," Cal Fire said. "Please use caution when returning to the area as firefighters and equipment will continue working through the night to strengthen containment lines and conduct mop-up operations."
An earlier update at 3:46 p.m. indicated that the fire had been 20 percent contained at 55 acres, according to Cal Fire on X. The forward rate of spread was stopped at 3:40 p.m., Cal Fire said.

Several evacuations were ordered as crews worked Saturday to contain the fire.
The blaze, dubbed the Crump Fire, was first reported at 12:33 p.m. at Riverside Street and Highway 74 West in the unincorporated area of Meadowbrook and Lake Elsinore, according to Cal Fire. Officials said the brush fire initially consumed about two acres of vegetation before expanding.

By 2:40 p.m., the blaze had swelled to 55 acres and was 10 percent contained, officials said.
"Hand crews and firefighters are diligently constructing and reinforcing containment lines while multiple air resources continue to make water and retardant drops to slow the fire’s spread," Cal Fire officials said in an update.
Officials issued evacuation orders for the following areas and zones; those evacuation orders are now warnings:
- The evacuation order for LSN-1407 has been split and is now Zone LSN-1407A and remains in effect.
- RVC-1408 and LSN-1407B have been downgraded to a warning.
- North of Highway 74, El Toro Cut Off Road.
- South of El Toro Road
- East of El Toro Road, Chippewa Road
- West of Vista Avenue

An evacuation shelter has been established at Pinacate Middle School, located at 1900 S. A St. in Perris. Pets and animals can be taken to the San Jacinto Animal Shelter at 581 S. Grand Ave.
The blaze comes as crews continue to battle the Pyrite Fire in Jurupa Valley, which more than doubled in size overnight after triggering evacuation orders and an immediate fire response on Friday.
As of 2:15 p.m., the Pyrite Fire had consumed 425 acres and was 15 percent contained, according to Cal Fire.
