Firefighters Battle Residential Fire Near Gavilan Hills

GAVILAN HILLS, CA — Firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department battled a residential fire Sunday in an unincorporated area near Gavilan Hills.

The fire was reported around 1 p.m. Sunday in the 16500 block of Multiview Drive, where responding firefighters reported a 5,000-square-foot, two-story, single-family residence with heavy smoke and flames showing from both floors and the attic.

Southern California Edison was summoned to the scene to assist.

The fire was contained at 2 p.m. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Fire crews predicted remaining on the scene for about two hours.
