Firefighters Quell Fire At Lake Elsinore McDonald's

A small amount of smoke was seen billowing from the restaurant in Lake Elsinore.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Firefighters responded Monday afternoon to a fire at McDonalds in a Lake Elsinore shopping center, where a small blaze was quickly contained to a single fryer unit, officials said.

The fire was reported at 2:59 p.m. in the 18200 block of Collier Avenue. When crews arrived, they found light smoke coming from a single-story commercial building within the center, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

According to fire officials, the fire was confined to one fryer unit and did not spread to the rest of the structure.

Firefighters remained on scene to check for any possible extension and to ventilate the building by removing smoke.

No injuries were reported.
