Gas Prices Skyrocket In RivCo: How Much Did You Pay At The Pump?

For the 24th consecutive day, and the 28th time in 29 days, gas prices in Riverside County have risen to the highest amount since Oct. 27.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Thursday for the 24th consecutive day and 28th time in 29 days, increasing 1.3 cents to $5.27, its highest amount since Oct. 27.

The average price has increased 46.7 cents over the past 29 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose four consecutive days, dropped three- tenths of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.

The average price is 14.3 cents more than one week ago, 45.6 cents higher than one month ago and 43.5 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.103 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the ninth consecutive day, increasing 1.1 cents to $3.63. It has risen 9.5 cents over the past nine days, including 1.1 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is 6.3 cents more than one week ago, 23.3 cents higher than one month ago and 2.2 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.386 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
