Grocery Store Fire In Riverside Causes Merchandise Damage

All occupants were evacuated and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A fire damaged some merchandise at Riverside grocery store, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 8:14 p.m. Friday at N & N Market, located at 8802 Cypress Ave., where firefighters found smoke coming from the wall and roof of the building, according to the Riverside Fire Department.

All occupants were evacuated and no injuries were reported, according to the fire department.

The fire was contained to the corner wall of the building, and extinguished just before 8:50 p.m. Fire damage was limited to the store's merchandise. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, officials said.
