LAKE ELSINORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Courtney Medina of Lake Elsinore, who nominated her husband, Mark Medina, also of Lake Elsinore:

What does the nominee do for work?:
Plumber

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
I believe he should be recognized because since the start of this he has been working 10-12 hour shifts, sometimes working two shifts in one day with only a couple hours between each job because the hospital he has been working at wasn’t able to access rooms with ventilators because of leaks and damage to sewage lines. They had him working to fix these sewer lines as soon as possible so the hospital could have access to the rooms with the ventilators.

This is not the only job he’s been at. He’s been in and out of multiple hospitals fixing plumbing issues. Even days after he gets home from work he will go to local side jobs to help fix other plumbing issues for people stuck at home during this time.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
He will always go out of his way to help others and provide for his family no matter what he has to do.

Thank you for all you do, Mark!
