Lake Elsinore Family Displaced After Fire Ravages Buildings

The two-acre blaze began as a vegetation fire Sunday in Lake Elsinore and burned multiple structures.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A blaze that erupted as a vegetation fire Sunday in Lake Elsinore burned two acres and involved multiple structures, displacing three people.

The fire was reported at 4:06 p.m. Sunday in the 20500 block of Telford Avenue, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Aircraft was requested to assist.

Firefighters stopped the spread of the fire at two acres at 4:58 p.m. A residential structure was fully involved, fire officials said. Three outbuildings and an RV were destroyed by the fire.

The American Red Cross was requested to assist an adult and two juveniles displaced by the fire.

Telford was closed between Patterson and Peach streets.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
