Mom Gives Birth To Baby On Side Of 215 Freeway In Riverside
When authorities arrived the baby boy had just been delivered with the help of his grandmother and his aunt.
RIVERSIDE, CA — A baby boy was born on the northbound Escondido (215) Freeway in Riverside Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officers from the CHP and the Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a baby being born on the freeway north of Eastridge Avenue at around 2:35 a.m. Saturday.
When authorities arrived the baby boy had just been delivered with the help of his grandmother and his aunt. The mother, father and baby were taken to a hospital.

The baby's grandmother told Onscene TV that the family was on the way to a hospital, but had to pull over to the side of the freeway when they saw the baby was already coming.
According to KTLA5, the baby and mom were both doing well.
