The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies during the initial investigation. While the cause of the crash is still under review, the department determined that alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
The crash led to the temporary closure of Market Street, between Hall Avenue and Rivera Street, in order to process the scene and collect evidence.
