Murrieta Man Faces Murder Charge In Wildomar Shooting

Wildomar police said ​Paul Stoeppler​, 34, was arrested in connection to the shooting that left Mark Corona, 35, of Menifee, dead.

WILDOMAR, CA -- A Murrieta man was arrested Sunday on a murder charge after a deadly shooting at a Wildomar shopping center. Wildomar police said Paul Stoeppler, 34, was arrested in connection to the shooting that left Mark Corona, 35, of Menifee, dead.

The incident was reported at 3:23 p.m. in the 32200 block of Clinton Keith Road, according to Wildomar Police Department.

Arriving officers found Corona dead after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The suspect, Stoeppler, was taken into custody after being described by reporting parties, police said.

The investigation is currently ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
