RivCo Driver Injured In Suspected DUI Collision With Railroad Barrier, Officials Say
The crash was reported around 2 a.m., when deputies found a vehicle blocking the railroad tracks.
PERRIS, CA — A 27-year-old man was injured in a suspected drunk driving accident early Monday after his vehicle was found overturned on the railroad tracks in Perris, authorities said.
Deputies responded around 2:15 a.m. to the intersection of Case and Murrieta roads after receiving a call.
There, they found an overturned vehicle blocking the railroad tracks and the injured driver on the side of the road, the Riverside Sheriff's Department wrote in a statement.

The driver was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
Deputies determined that the driver, Daniel Bahena-Mederos of Hemet, was driving while intoxicated when he collided with the fixed railroad barrier on Case Road.
