Smoke In Lakeland Village Sunday Visible From I-15
If you saw smoke driving through Lake Elsinore Sunday afternoon, here's what happened as a fire erupted across the lake.

LAKELAND VILLAGE, CA — Firefighters battled a two-acre vegetation fire in Lakeland Village Sunday, the Riverside County Fire Department announced.
The fire was reported at 3:40 p.m. Sunday near the area of Grand Avenue and Stoneman Street, where it burned in heavy fuels at a moderate rate of spread, according to the RCFD.
Firefighters reported the forward rate of progress was stopped, but they predicted remaining on the scene for two hours for heavy mop-up.
