Suspect Arrested In Lake Elsinore ATM Assault, Wallet Theft
A 56 year old man was placed under arrest after a Tuesday Lakeshore Drive ATM robbery.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A 56-year-old man suspected of assaulting and attempting to steal a wallet from someone at an ATM machine in Lake Elsinore was behind bars Friday.
Henry Jackson of Lake Elsinore was arrested Tuesday night on suspicion of robbery, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Jarrod Meissen.
Deputies with Lake Elsinore's sheriff station responded shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a robbery in the 16600 block of Lakeshore Drive, Meissen said. Several witnesses said that someone assaulted and tried to steal a wallet from someone who was at an ATM machine in the area.

Deputies used the information provided and identify Jackson as the suspect, according to Meissen. The Lake Elsinore station's Robbery Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team responded to the scene to assist in the investigation and subsequently contacted Jackson at his residence, where they allegedly saw the vehicle he used to flee the scene.
He was taken into custody and a search warrant was authored for his vehicle and residence, in which clothing items that he allegedly wore during the robbery were found, Meissen said.

"The circumstances and suspect description provided by witnesses of this incident resembled a recent robbery at the same ATM about one week prior," Meissen wrote in a statement. "Through further investigation into both incidents, deputies determined Jackson was the primary suspect in both robberies."
Jackson was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta, where he remains held on a $1,080,000 bail bond, according to inmate records. He is expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
Anyone with additional information on the robberies was asked to call Deputy Mullins or Deputy Decaro from the Lake Elsinore's sheriff's station at 951-245-3300.
