Vehicle Fire Spreads To Nearby Brush In Lake Elsinore
UPDATED: The fire broke out around 3 p.m. Tuesday.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Riverside County firefighters made quick work of a brush fire on Tuesday afternoon in Lake Elsinore. The fire broke out just after 3 p.m. along State Route 74, near Mazie Street, and sent a large plume of smoke into the region.
Fire officials tell Patch the blaze was initially reported as a fully involved vehicle fire. When crews got to the scene, the blaze had spread to nearby vegetation.
More than three dozen firefighters from three engines responded, according to the fire department.

As of 3:40 p.m., the fire was just about a quarter acre in size, officials said.
