Toys will be accepted until December 20.

The California Highway Patrol is once again collecting toys for the "CHiPs for Kids Toy Drive."

Walgreens stores throughout Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and surrounding cities are accepting new unwrapped toys for drop off during the drive, according to CHP Officer Nathan Baer.

The toys will go to hospitalized and disadvantaged children, he said.

“Teens are often forgotten during toy drives, so I would encourage donations (they) would also enjoy. Gift cards can (also) be donated for the older kids,” Officer Baer said in a news release.

In addition to the Walgreens locations, toys can be dropped off at the CHP office in Temecula located at 27685 Commerce Center Dr.
