Wildomar Man Accused Of Assaulting Teen Boy Found Dead
The 71-year-old was found dead just days after he was arrested on suspicion of lewd acts on a minor, according to sheriff's officials.

WILDOMAR, CA — A Wildomar man accused of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor who was arrested last week has been found dead after apparently taking his own life, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department confirms to Patch.
Charles Kip Yotter, 71, was arrested on Thursday and released from custody Friday after posting $250,000 bail, records show. On Monday, authorities found his body at the same residence where he was initially arrested.
Sheriff's Dep. Robyn Flores says authorities received a call reporting gunshots around 4:30 p.m. Monday in the 35000 block of Momat Avenue in Wildomar.

"The suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound," she said.
Yotter's arrest came after an "extensive" investigation that began in June and a search warrant was served Thursday by the Problem Oriented Policing Team, also in the 35000 block of Momat Avenue, according to sheriff's Sgt. Ray Ricken.

Yotter was accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy in December 2018, deputies said. He was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of several felonies, including oral copulation with a minor and forcible penetration with a foreign object, according to jail records.
