Woman Killed In 1 Vehicle Riverside County Crash
A Toyota Echo traveling eastbound on Bundy Canyon Road crossed over the westbound lane, then left the roadway and struck a tree in Wildomar.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA -- A driver died Sunday morning after her car went off the road and struck a tree, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a traffic collision on Bundy Canyon Road near Oak Creek Drive in Wildomar around 8:08 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they learned that a Toyota Echo was traveling eastbound on Bundy Canyon Rd and crossed over the westbound lane. The Toyota left the roadway, struck a tree head-on and came to rest along the westbound shoulder of the roadway, according to the Sheriff's Department.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the Toyota was transported to Inland Valley Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her name is being withheld by the Sheriff's Department pending notification of next of kin.

Both directions of Bundy Canyon Road were closed for about five hours during the investigation.
The Lake Elsinore Traffic Team is investigating the cause of the collision; it's unknown at this time if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the collision. Anyone with information about the collision may contact Deputy Willow at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station at (951) 245-3300.
