Chill Out with an Ice Cream Treat at the Spring Valley Farmers Market

Little Johnnie's Ice Cream and Soda Bar can give you that summertime sweets fix.

It seems a simple concept—it's hot in the summertime. Why not offer something that helps keep people cool?

It was that simple thought process that led Roberta Nuckols to start Little Johnnie's Ice Cream and Soda Bar a little more than a year ago.

Little Johnnie's is one of the vendors at the Spring Valley Farmers Market and offers cool treats like Drumsticks, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream bars, in addition to a wide variety of sodas.

And the price is nice too. All of the products at Little Johnnie's are only $1.

Nuckols and her husband, Verman, are Fallbrook residents. They participate in farmers markets all over the county, including Santee, Ramona, and Mount Carmel. Additionally, Nuckols said that she works street fairs, fundraisers, and special events, including parties, where she has a drink cart that is customized to whatever kinds of drinks you want.

As simple as the concept is, so is her philosophy.

"Everybody's gotta eat. Everybody's gotta drink."
