Other Facts:
As a Director for the Helix Water District, I am committed to the continued strong fiscal wellbeing of the District while controlling costs and keeping the water rates as low as possible. I introduced a motion, which was passed unanimously by the Helix Board to reduce expenditures across the board by $1 million a year over the next five years. This will result in lower water rates while maintaining improvements in the District’s infrastructure. As it is, Helix’s water rates are below average when compared to seven other area service providers. And I am dedicated to keep it that way.
