Crime Report: Water District Reports Theft of Electrical Parts

The following information was provided by the San Diego Sheriff's Department. The suspects have not been convicted of a crime.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

An assault with a deadly weapon not a firearm was reported in the 7900 block of Frost Street. A 29-year-old male suffered a severe laceration, according to a report.

A truck valued at $4,000 was reported stolen in the 1200 block of Grand Avenue.

A 60-year-old male was arrested for misdemeanor theft on Johns View Way. A bicycle valued at $45 was recovered.

The theft of $1,800 in currency was reported in the 9300 block of Rowdy Court.

A residential burglary was reported in the 9000 block of Berkwood Drive.

Saturday, Jan. 21

A battery on a person was reported in the 900 block of Maya Street. A 43-year-old male suffered a minor injury, according to a report.

A commercial burglary was reported in the 900 block of Sweetwater Road. Ten pieces of clothing with a combined value of $200 were reported stolen from Kmart.

A simple battery was reported in the 3100 block of Villa Espana. A 22-year-old female suffered a minor injury, according to a report. 

Sunday, Jan. 22

on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon in the 9300 block of Montemar Drive.

A car valued at $10,000 was reported stolen in the 3800 block of Settineri Lane.

Two bottles of liquor with a combined value of $140 were reported stolen from Rancho San Diego Liquor in the 2700 block of Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.

Monday, Jan. 23

A stolen car was recovered in the 3400 block of Saddle Drive.

Electronic components valued at $5,900 were reported stolen from Otay Water District in the 2500 block of Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.

A residential burglary was reported in the 8700 block of Troy Street. Two computers and another item with a combined value of $2,350 were reported stolen.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

Vandalism was reported in the 600 block of Kempton Street. Damage was estimated at $135.
