Experience Almond Joy at Spring Valley Farmers Market
Head out to the Spring Valley Farmers Market, meet some of your local vendors, and their take home their goods.
Sometimes you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don't.
If you feel like it's one of those times that you do, head out to the Spring Valley Farmers Market on Tuesday and pick up some fresh almonds from Hopkins AG, an almond farm in Kern County, Calif.
Since 1978, Hopkins has been a family-owned and operated almond farm, which currently stands at more than 2,000 acres. The company has booths at farmers markets all over San Diego County, including Spring Valley. They also operate a commercial kitchen in Chula Vista.

They feature eight different flavors of almonds: raw, raw (in-shell) honey cinnamon, honey vanilla (which I tried and are amazing!), Mexican chocolate, lime and sea salt, chipotle spicy, and dry roasted.
They offer cups by the pound ($9-12, depending on variety) or by the half-pound ($5-7, depending on variety).
