FBI Still Investigating Rep. Duncan Hunter Over Campaign Spending

Rep. Duncan Hunter reportedly told a news station that the FBI is intentionally dragging the case.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- The FBI is still investigating Rep. Duncan Hunter over illegal campaign spending, prompting the congressman to claim the agency is biased. Hunter made his comments to KUSI, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported.

The investigation into how Hunter spent his campaign money came after the Union-Tribune reported on questionable transactions. He represents parts of San Diego County and the city of Temecula.

According to the Union-Tribune, Hunter reportedly said, “I think that the Department of Justice is somewhat biased. There are individuals there, they like to make big cases, they like to do big things, it makes a name for them I think that the longer they drag this out, the worse it is for me, and they know that. So let’s just get it over with."
