Get a Start on Halloween at the Del Mar Scream Zone
The Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds is open on select dates in October and November. It's intended for a teen and older audience.

Halloween is still three weeks away, but you can get a head start at the Scream Zone at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
This year there are four terrifying haunts: the new Zombie Paintball Safari, the House of Horror, The Chamber and the Haunted Hayride.
The zone opens at 7 p.m. and closes at midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 p.m. on other nights. Check the calendar for specific nights it's open.
Tickets range from $17 on Fridays and Saturdays for one haunt to $30 for all three. Prices are $2 less on other days. The zombie paintball is $25 and includes 75 paintball pellets.
The Scream Zone incorporates "rolling floors," a spinning tunnel, and many other special effects. Strobe lights, pneumatic devices, fog machines, and dripping natural elements also create a spooky atmosphere.
The attraction is designed for a teen and older audience. House of Horror is not recommended for children younger than 10.
