He started studying at the Conservatory of Music when he was 13 years old. Later in College Music theory in his Hometown of Venezuela, and then became a Certified Instructor through Berklee College of Music. Many of Jan's Students have gone on to record albums, tour outside the US, become Sound Engineers, Professional Guitar Players, and meet their guitar-playing and music goals. Jan worked hand in hand on several projects with producers like Trino Jimenez, a famous Latin Music Producer and Arranger. Trino Jimenez arranged one of Jan's nostalgic, beautiful master piece called "Delirium", "Ayer". Jan's Music is being played by Orchestras and theaters. Jan is well-versed as an instrumentalist playing the Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Ukulele, and Bass.

Grossmont-Hills league champion Helix High School (8-2, 5-0 league) will play La Costa Canyon High School at 7 p.m. Friday at Helix in the first round of open playoffs. Under the <a href="http://www.sdnews.com/view/full_story/21648297/article-New-format-will-change-the-face-of-CIF-playoffs-for-San-Diego-schools-" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">new playoff system</a>, the top teams in San Diego County will face each other in an open playoffs. Winner is named champion of CIF-San Diego section. Winner of the La Costa Canyon-Helix game will play the winner of the Steele Canyon-Mission Hills game Nov. 22. The championship game will be played at 5 p.m. Dec. 2 at Qualcomm Stadium. As of Nov. 4, the Highlanders were ranked the #5 team in San Diego County in U-T Prep Football poll.

Helix (8-2) will play La Costa Canyon Friday at 7 p.m. at Helix in the first round of the playoffs.
