The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County recorded its largest daily increase since June 29 Friday.
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County recorded its largest daily increase since June 29 Friday, rising eight-tenths of a cent to $4.352.
The average price has increased three consecutive days following a seven-day run of decreases totaling 2 cents, including six-tenths of a cent Tuesday, its largest daily decrease since Oct. 30, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price rose one-tenth of a cent Wednesday and four-tenths of a cent Thursday.
"While prices are down in some areas compared to last week primarily because of lower oil costs, unfortunately Southern California prices began rising again in the last couple of days due to a one-day outage at the Chevron refinery in El Segundo," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
