La Mesa Police to Conduct DUI Checkpoint on Saturday Night
The location of the checkpoint is not disclosed.

La Mesa Police will be on the lookout for drunken and unlicensed drivers Saturday night at a checkpoint that will operate from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m., according to a police press release. The location has not been announced.
The DUI/driver license checkpoint is part of the Over the Limit, Under Arrest program led by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that combines high-visibility enforcement and public relations campaigns. The checkpoint will be funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the NHTSA, according to police.
A checkpoint on the 3800 block of Massachusetts Avenue on Feb. 4 resulted in 11 vehicles being impounded, 19 traffic citations and one citation for possession of marijuana, but no DUI arrests.
