Local Herbalist Makes Scents

Following Seasons Botanicals offers a wide variety of herbs, herbal teas, soaps, and essential oils.

Aside from the smells of fresh produce and hot food that often permeate the skies around the Spring Valley Farmers Market each Tuesday, other scents compete for space in one's nostrils.

They are those of Following Seasons Botanicals, an herbal apothecary that features natural soaps, teas, and oils.

Owner Cindy Christ, a trained herbalist and soap maker has been in the business of making you smell better for nearly 18 years.  She has had her business for the last 12 years.

Following Seasons features a vast array of herbs, with well over 150 in stock. She also offers different herbal teas, 25 varieties to be exact, of white, black, and green teas.

Christ has made herbs her passion. She is the president of the San Diego Herb Club, and the local chapter of the San Diego Herbal Guild. In addition to the Spring Valley Farmers Market, she sells here sensual wares in other farmers markets around the county, and at garden events and weekend festivals.

She boasts close to 150 different herbal soaps, and about 20 varieties of essential oils.
