Man Who Refused To Give Up Wallet Shot Four Times In Spring Valley

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and is recovering

Two men are being sought in connection with a shooting in Spring Valley on Monday night in which a 45-year old man was shot four times.

Authorities said that at around 7 p.m. on Monday, the victim was approached by two men in their 20s on Helix Street, who demanded the man give up his wallet. When he refused, he was shot several times, including in the torso, one arm, and in both of his legs.

The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to San Diego County Sheriff Sgt. Greg Hampton, and is recovering.

The shooter and his accomplice were last seen running north on Helix,
Hampton said. They are still being sought.
