Motorcycle Collision Kills Spring Valley Man
The unidentified 23-year-old lived in an apartment in Spring Valley and belonged in the Navy.
A 23-year-old Spring Valley resident was killed Saturday afternoon after the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle on Otay Lakes Road in Chula Vista, according to the county Medical Examiner’s Office. His name was not released.
The collision occurred after the motorcycle crossed lanes into oncoming traffic following a bend in the road, according to a medical examiner’s report. The rider, active-duty Navy, was riding solo eastbound on Otay Lakes Road east of state Route 125, according to the report. Responding emergency personnel used CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
