Nature Day Set For Saturday At Mt. Helix Park

LA MESA, CA — Celebrate nature this weekend atop Mount Helix.
Nature Day is scheduled Saturday at Mt. Helix Park. The annual event will feature more than 30 local nature organizations and offer activities, crafts, plant sales, rescue dog adoptions and more. Food and drinks will also be available for sale.
The free event is hosted by Mt. Helix Park Foundation.

"This is twice as big as last year, so we are very excited," said Mary Kirk, event and development coordinator of Mt. Helix Park Foundation.
Nature Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Parking will be available at the San Miguel Fire Station at 10105 Vivera Drive in La Mesa, as well as at Grossmont High School at 1100 Murray Drive in El Cajon. There will be free shuttles to the top with Old Town Trolley.
