Photos: 2012 Monte Vista Graduation Ceremony

Monte Vista principal Randy Montesanto emceed the commencement, as more than 400 students walked across the stage as high school graduates.

In their last time sitting assembled together as classmates, the graudating class of 2012 at enjoyed the sunshine and cool breezes on Thursday evening during the school's annual commencement ceremonies.

The 423 graduating students were cheered on by friends and family, as various adornments of crimson and gold filled the school's football stadium.

The valedictorian addresses were given by Maria Llamas and Allyson Serafico. Llamas finished her high school career with a 4.864 GPA. Serafico finished with a 4.776 GPA. Salutatorians Beverly Chen (4.653) and Catherine Terry (4.646) were also honored.

Principal Randy Montesanto emceed the proceedings, and after about 45 minutes of cheers, smiles, laughs, and a few cries, the students joined together in the singing of the school alma mater, tossed their caps, and closed the chapter on their high school lives.
