Photos: Live Animals From Around the World at Library
The Wildlife Company amazed a group of local children with their furry friends at Casa de Oro branch library.
About 20 curious kids were treated to a presentation featuring six different live animals from around the world on Thursday at the library.
Stephanie Evola, a trainer/educator with The Wildlife Company, intruduced the children to her animal friends, while describing facts about their species, habitats, feeding traits, and more.
An animal from every continent (except for Antarctica, which was represented by a stuffed toy Emperor penguin) was presented to the children, including an American aligator, a kinkajou honey bear from South America, a European legless lizard, a carpet pyhthon from Australia, an African pygmy hedgehog, and a walking stick from Asia.

Following the presentation, the children were allowed to line up and pet the carpet python named Alex.
Evola said that during the summer months, The Wildlife Company will make hundreds of educational presentations to youth all over Southern California.
