Poll: Was Sharlotte Hydorn Right to Sell Homemade, Mail-Order Suicide Kits?

Sharlotte Hydorn, 92, faces sentencing April 26 for failing to file a tax return. But the resident of suburban El Cajon drew notice for her business—creating and selling “suicide kits” by mail order. The county District Attorney’s Office decided against charging Hydorn for any of the six suicides in the county connected to her kits. And she has halted the sale of the $40 to $60 kits after shipping more than 1,300 worldwide, according to U-T San Diego.  But was she doing the right thing?  Or was she crossing the line?
