Question of the Day: Is Enough Being Done to Combat Drunken Driving?

Local authorities made 99 arrests over the holiday weekend for drunken driving, and at least three people died on county highways, authorities say.  Last year, the figures were 94 arrests and no fatalities.  About a third of all arrests in La Mesa are alcohol-related, according to a recent survey.  Should police and lawmakers get tougher on drunken drivers?
