The girlfriend was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

A 31-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening wound Saturday morning when he was stabbed in the chest by his girlfriend during an argument in Spring Valley, authorities said.

Deputies were called at 1:20 a.m. to a residence at 10318 Loma Rancho Drive, where they found the victim and arrested his girlfriend on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, said San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Kevin Menzies.
