Spring Valley Resident In Hospital With Burns As Result of Apartment Fire

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

An early morning fire in an apartment at 3077 Charwood Court in Spring Valley has sent one person to the hospital with multiple burn injuries.

According to a Heartland fire dispatcher, the fire, the cause of which is still under investigation, broke a little before 4 a.m. The dispatcher said that there were about 14 firefighters to respond, including a battallion chief, and that the fire was knocked down at approximately 4:23 a.m.

The dispatcher did not have any information on the victim, but did say that the fire caused $25,000 in structural damage, and $50,000 in personal damage.
