Suspects in High-Speed Car Chase Arrested; Began at Heritage Inn
The driver of a stolen Camry spotted at the Heritage Inn parking lot early Friday morning led police on a frantic chase, ending with the suspects still at large. Police make two arrests Saturday night in San Diego.
A suspected car thief accused of leading officers on a that started in La Mesa earlier this week was arrested along with his female passenger, it was reported Sunday.
According to 10News, a man and woman were taken into custody at a home on Bonillo Drive near Lerida Drive in Rolando about 10:30 p.m. Saturday. No names were released.
The two suspects were believed to be involved in a stolen 1988 Toyota Camry that was spotted in the parking lot of the , 7851 Fletcher Parkway, at 5:50 a.m. Friday, the station reported.

The driver of the Camry stopped briefly before speeding away toward Interstate 8, La Mesa police Lt. Matt Nicholass told the TV station.
Once on the freeway, San Diego police and California Highway Patrol officers assisted in the chase as the Camry hit speeds up to 100 mph, Nicholass told 10News. The Camry sped through red lights and residential areas without headlines on, and the passenger bailed out of the car at Crisp Street in the Clairemont area.

The chase was called off about 6:20 a.m. with the suspect last seen heading toward Carmel Valley. Within an hour, the Camry was found abandoned at Ice Skate Place and Karma Drive in Mira Mesa, where it had apparently crashed
into a light pole, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
According to 10 News, clues from a second stolen car recovered in Mission Valley led police to the suspects.
