Tuesday Is Final Day To Vote For Fourth District County Supervisor

District​ 4 includes Casa de Oro-Mount Helix​, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, as well as a large portion of the city of San Diego.​

LA MESA, CA — Tuesday is the final day for voters in San Diego County's Fourth Supervisorial District to cast their ballot in the special election to replace former Supervisor Nathan Fletcher.

Four candidates are running for the position: San Diego City Councilmember Monica Montgomery Steppe, Marine veteran and nonprofit organizer Janessa Goldbeck, ReOpen San Diego founder Amy Reichert, and Marine veteran Paul McQuigg.

The person elected will fill the seat for the remainder of the current term ending in January 2027. If no candidate receives a majority vote, there will be a special general election on Nov. 7.

The Registrar Of Voters office and 14 vote centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Any voter who is in line at a vote center or an official ballot drop box location at 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote, according to the Registrar Of Voters office.

Only people who live in District 4 can vote in the election. The district includes Casa de Oro-Mount Helix, La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley, as well as a large portion of the city of San Diego.
