Buster Posey Scores $8.3M Residence Back 'Home' In Lafayette: Reports
The six-bedroom is on a sprawling 2-plus-acre-lot in Happy Valley, the Bay Area neighborhood the Posey family previously called home.
LAFAYETTE, CA — Retired San Francisco Giants all-star Buster Posey scored another win in the Lafayette real estate category.
In a 2023 real estate transaction, Posey purchased a six-bedroom Craftsman-style stucco home on over 2 acres for $8.3 million in the East Bay hamlet. According to Realtor.com, the deal closed in June 2023.
Upon his retirement in 2021, Posey, 36, returned to the place he called home: Georgia. It was where he grew up and met his high school sweetheart, Kristen, whom he married in 2009.

Following Posey's impressive and successful 12-year career — including three World Series championships within five years — with the Giants Major League Baseball team, the couple sold their first home in Lafayette for $9.28 million and scored a home run with a $3.9 million abode in Georgia.

A curve ball last year changed things up — again. In 2022, it was announced that Posey bought into the 30-member ownership group for the Giants and was joining the board of directors.

The couple sold their Georgia pad. The home in Johns Creek, Georgia, had several of the same features their new home has in Lafayette.

6,360 Square Feet Of Modern, Casual Sophistication
The family of six likely had no problem settling in, as their new digs are in the Happy Valley neighborhood where they previously lived.
Here are some of the home's features and amenities:
- The home is on a secluded 2.35-acre flat lot and was built in 2012.
- The wisteria-adorned grounds have fruit trees, manicured gardens, trimmed lawns and a babbling creek. A meandering walkway leads to and from tennis courts, an outdoor fire pit, a covered cabana, an in-ground pool, a spa, a craft room and an outdoor living area outfitted with an outdoor barbecue kitchenette.
- Massive retractable doors provide easy indoor-outdoor living transitions in Lamorinda's mostly idyllic climate.
- Four fireplaces emit warmth and aesthetic appeal. The dining room, family room, living room and master suite each have a fireplace.
- There are multiple choices for eating in, including twin islands in the kitchen and a dining area that looks out onto the sparkling pool and backyard area.
- The sprawling single-level home of 6,360 square feet has a primary suite retreat, four ensuites, an office and a one-bath guest house.
- Soaring ceilings create a light, airy, open feel throughout the modern, casually sophisticated living areas grounded by European oak and fossil stone floors.
