Lamorinda Restaurant Opening Soon, Is Among '10 Highly Anticipated'
A list of 10 highly anticipated Bay Area restaurant openings for early 2024 was published by The Mercury News.

LAMORINDA, CA — The foodies over at The Mercury News included a newish Lafayette eatery on a list of 10 highly anticipated Bay Area restaurant openings in early 2024.
We say newish because The Hideout Kitchen and Cafe is an existing Lafayette restaurant that is moving 3 miles to a new, larger location this month at 32 Lafayette Circle — the former home of Petars and The Cooperage, the latter of which moved last fall to Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek.
"The Hideout’s signature weekend brunches and elevated lunch and dinner offerings will soon be taking place in a new, expanded venue — and fortunately, it’s not far," Bay Area News Group reporters wrote. "Chef and restaurateur JB Balingit is about to move his Lafayette bistro into the space formerly occupied by the Cooperage."

Chicken and waffles, anyone? Yes, patrons can expect to see all their favorites from the current menu — from waffle sandwiches at brunch to honey-fried chicken at dinner — in the new space, too.
The expansion also offers a chance to expand the food and cocktail offerings, as well as serve up a range of dining experiences for families looking to grab a bite or friends seeking an elevated multi-course dinner or fun, music-filled boozy brunch, brand manager Peyton Ferrer told the newspaper.

"We have so much more room to look forward to using," she said.
The Hideout team plans to launch a cocktail lounge with Asian-inspired bites at the Hideout's current site at 3406 Mt. Diablo Blvd., The Mercury News reported.
