Republic of Cake Closes In Orinda
The shop is expected to reopen in a new location.
LAMORINDA, CA — If Republic of Cake is your favorite bakery, you'll have to drive farther to get your fix of cookies, cupcakes or quiche.
The bakery, that has been satisfying cravings at Orinda Theatre Square for more than a decade, has closed.
The owner plans to reopen in Danville, although the opening date and location have not been announced.
