Update: Water Service Restored To Orinda Neighborhoods
A water main break has prompted EBMUD crews to cut off water to the Owl Hill Road area
City officials reported at 5 p.m. that water service has been restored to more than 100 Orinda households after their water service was shut off Thursday morning after a water main break.
East Bay Municipal Utility District crews cut off the water to 100 to 200 residences along Owl Hill Road, Estates Drive, Orchard Road and Scenic Drive, according to Orinda city officials.
The shut off happened shortly after 11 a.m. and was expected to last about four hours.
The water main break happened on Owl Hill Road. That rupture was still being repaired late Thursday afternoon.
