
The 12 registered candidates for the newly-drawn 2nd United States Congressional District are due to participate in a debate in Angelico Hall on the Dominican University of California campus on Tuesday, April 17.
The candidates are, in alphabetical order, Susan Adams, Andy Caffrey, Brooke Clarke, William Courtney, Larry Fritzlan, Michael Halliwell, Jared Huffman, Stacey Lawson, John Lewallen, Tiffany Renee, Dan Roberts, and Norman Solomon.
The debate is hosted by Dominican and the League of Women Voters of Marin County. It is free and open to the public and will begin at 7 p.m. Dominican President Mary Marcy will moderate the debate.
Free parking is available in the Conlan Center parking lot at the intersection of Grand and Acacia avenues.
The current 2nd Congressional District seat is being vacated by retiring U.S. Representative Lynn Woolsey. The newly-formed district includes all of Marin County and the coastal portion of Sonoma County in the south and all of Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity Counties in the north.
California primary elections are June 5.
