Corte Madera Woman Assaulted At Knife-Point
Twin Cities Police Report Feb. 29-March 6: Woman suffers a cut on her hand as she fights off her attacker.

• A Corte Madera resident reported a male subject came up to her, put a knife towards her neck and tried to kiss her. She screamed and pushed the knife away causing a laceration to the palm of her hand. Officers responded and contacted the victim, who was transported to the Marin General Hospital Emergency Room for medical attention. Officers checked the surrounding area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone matching the description. An Assault with a Deadly Weapon report was taken. There is follow-up pending.
• An employee of a business in the Marin Country Mart reported she came out to find her vehicle had been spray painted with a derogatory word while it was parked in the lot. It was also discovered that both the passenger side tires had also been slashed. A report was taken to document the vandalism.
• A Petaluma resident reported that while her vehicle was parked in a lot near the 24 Hour Fitness in the Marin Country Mart shopping Center, it had been broken into through the front passenger window. Taken was her laptop and purse. An Auto Burglary report was taken.
• A San Rafael resident reported her vehicle was broken into via window smash while it was parked in the lot at the Marin Country Mart shopping center in the area of the 24 Hour Fitness. Her purse was taken from the seat. An Auto Burglary report was taken.
• A Larkspur resident reported that while his rental vehicle was parked in a lot at the Marin Country Mart shopping center, it was broken into via the passenger side window being broken. Taken were his Dell laptop, two hard-drives, an ASUS Tablet and a Sprint aircard, for a loss totaling $2460. An Auto Burglary report was taken.
• An employee of The North Face, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported that there were a male and a female in the business who took four jackets and a backpack. While he was on the phone with Twin Cities Police, Village Security called stating one of their Security Officers was watching the female subject who was walking in the area and got into a vehicle. Twin Cities Police Officers located the female subject walking in the area. A San Francisco woman was arrested for Criminal Conspiracy, Providing False Information to a Peace Officer, Commercial Burglary and Possession of Hypodermic Needles. She was booked at the Marin County Jail. The male subject was not located.
• A Loss Prevention Agent for Macy’s, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported they had a female in custody for the theft of merchandise valued at approximately $77. An Oakland woman was arrested for Shoplifting and Petty Theft with a Prior. She was booked at the Marin County Jail.

• A Loss Prevention Agent for Nordstrom, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported on Feb. 23, a subject shoplifted at the Corte Madera Nordstrom store and the San Francisco Nordstrom store. They have video of the incident. A Commercial Burglary report was taken and there is further investigation pending.
• Personnel at San Andreas High School reported they had a student in the office possibly under the influence of alcohol. A San Anselmo juvenile male was arrested for Resisting Arrest and Violation of Probation. He was transported to Marin County Juvenile Hall after being medically cleared at Marin General Hospital.
• A San Anselmo resident reported the theft of her cell phone from her locked vehicle while she was in school at Redwood High School. Entry made by breaking the passenger side window. Taken was a black iPhone 4 in a white case with an approximate value of $400. An Auto Burglary report was taken.

• A business in the 5800 block of Paradise Drive reported that their bank notified them their checking account had been compromised. A Fraud report was taken and there is possible further action pending.
• A San Mateo resident reported his vehicle was stolen while it was parked in the 100 block of Larkspur Landing Circle. An Auto Theft report was taken
and the vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System. The vehicle was recovered in Richmond later in the week.
• A resident of the 10 block of Manzanita Court reported her unlocked listed vehicle was ransacked while parked in the driveway. At this time, it appears that there is no loss. Documentation for the incident was provided.
• A resident of the 10 building on Skylark Drive reported someone opened an account in his name at "Bill Me Later." A Fraud report was taken.
• A Palm Springs resident contacted Twin Cities Police via telephone to report his credit card was used fraudulently at the Macy’s, located in the Village Shopping Center. The Officer contacted Macy’s Loss Prevention as they were in possession of video evidence. A Fraud report was taken and there is further investigation pending.
• A resident of the 600 block of Chapman Drive reported her credit card was used fraudulently. A Fraud report was taken.
• A resident of the 10 block of Mariner Green Drive reported her credit card was used fraudulently. A Fraud report was taken.
• A San Rafael resident reported that she saw two subjects who broke into her vehicle while it was parked in the area of the Cinema Theater in Corte Madera and when she approached them, they left the area. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was not located. An Auto Burglary report was taken. At the time of report, the victim was not able to determine if anything had been taken.
• A Corte Madera resident reported his son's unlocked bicycle was stolen from the kid’s club at the Corte Madera Rec Center. Documentation was provided for the theft.
• A Larkspur resident reported he had left his backpack sitting outside a restaurant at the Bon Air Shopping Center and someone took it. Loss is approximately $20. Documentation was provided for the theft.
• A resident of the 600 block of Meadowsweet Drive reported her identity was stolen. An Identity Theft report was taken and there is follow-up pending.
• A resident of the 40 block of Key Largo Course reported her husband had been drinking and they got into an argument. She said her husband pushed her out of the door and punched her in the back. Officers responded and a Corte Madera man was arrested for Domestic Battery and booked into the Marin County Jail.
• A San Francisco resident called Twin Cities Police and reported both he and his date were intoxicated, but he was now afraid of her and thought she was going to hit him. A female voice could be heard in the background, stating she just wanted him to get out of her vehicle. Officers responded and contacted both parties. It was determined the male subject had assaulted the female. A San Francisco man was arrested for Domestic Battery and was booked into the Marin County Jail.
• A resident of the 30 block of Via Holon reported that his car was broken into while it was parked in the area of his residence. The front passenger window of the car was broken out. Taken were two MP3 chargers, and a phone charger. An Auto Burglary report was taken.
• A business in the 5700 block of Paradise Drive reported someone forced open a sliding a door. A Commercial Burglary report was taken. There is follow-up pending.
• A resident of the 10 block of Monte Vista Avenue reported his bicycle, a men's Diamondback mountain bike, with an approximate value of $2,500, was taken from his open garage. A Residential Burglary report was taken.
• A Corte Madera resident reported her wallet with $500 cash, credit cards and other items was taken from her shopping cart while she was shopping at the CVS Store located at the Bon Air Shopping Center. She advised that she had checked with her bank who told her one of her credit cards was used at Greenbrae Chevron, located at 301 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. A Theft report was taken and there is follow-up pending.
• A resident of the 10 block of Estelle Avenue reported a male subject came to her door and wanted to use her phone. Officers responded and contacted the subject, a San Rafael man, who was intoxicated. He was arrested for being Intoxicated in a Public Place and taken to the Helen Vine Treatment Center to detoxify.
• A Corte Madera resident reported her vehicle was broken into via window smash while it was parked in the area of the Bay Club in the Corte Madera Town Center. Taken was a purse containing jewelry, an iPhone, shoes, a wallet and three Cochlear hearing devices. The loss is approximately $24,000. An Auto Burglary report was taken.
• A resident of the 200 block of William Avenue reported a Giant, Trance, Men's 21 speed, dual suspension, mountain bike, with an approximate value of $2,000, was stolen from their garage. Unknown exact time frame and if garage was open or closed. A residential Burglary report was taken.
During this one week time period, the Twin Cities Police had 308 calls for service. This included three calls related to hit and run accidents and six property damage only accidents. There were seven auto burglaries, three commercial burglaries and two residential burglaries. There were no calls related to Driving while Intoxicated.
