Does Larkspur's Modern Cookie Have A New Recipe?

The owners of Modern Cookie want to make certain their fans know the kitchen is still operating, even though the doors to the treat shop are closed.

An announcement on Modern Cookie's Facebook page says the business will open with an expanded retail operation sometime in October. The shop closed in August.

Owners Erin Hull of Corte Madera and Jeanine Samuel of Ross hoped Modern Cookie would attract business with its custom-made cookies baked fresh. It struck a chord with young families and as a site for children's parties. Modern Cookie was even voted by Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch readers as the best place for a children's party.

The new plan suggests the shop will offer more than cookies.
