Honda, Sony Premiere New Electric Vehicle In Corte Madera

CORTE MADERA, CA — The new AFEELA studio opened March 29 at The Village at Corte Madera and premiered the electric vehicle AFEELA 1, which was created through a collaboration of the companies Sony and Honda.

Sony Honda Mobility of America (SHMA) introduced the AFEELA Studio, where Northern California residents can experience the technology, design and entertainment-focussed features of the AFEELA 1 in a hands-on experience.

"Bringing AFEELA Studio to Corte Madera is an exciting step in our journey to revolutionize mobility. We’re inviting visitors to engage with our technology, explore our design philosophy, and get a glimpse into the future of electric vehicles," said Shugo Yamaguchi, president and CEO of SHMA.

The studio will be open for three months and will promote SHMA’s plans for the next generation of transportation.

At the grand opening event on March 21, attendees explored the AFEELA 1 up close and had the opportunity to place reservations through the AFEELA website with a fully refundable $200 fee.

At the AFEELA Studio, visitors can see demonstrations from experts and learn about AFEELA Intelligent Drive and the advanced driver assistance system.

The AFEELA 1 vehicle is available starting at $89,000. Production is set in Ohio and is expected to begin delivering vehicles to California in 2026.

AFEELA Studio and Delivery Hubs are set to open in Torrance and Fremont in the latter half of 2025.

The AFEELA Studio Corte Madera is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
