Larkspur Man Accused Of Attempted Murder After Marin Shooting: Police
Detectives spent 10 days searching for the alleged shooter, who officials said recently moved to Larkspur.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A young Larkspur resident is accused of shooting a man in the back earlier this month in Marin City, according to the sheriff's office.
Officials said the victim was critically injured on Aug. 4 after being shot at close range while hanging out with friends on Drake Avenue. Medics rushed the man to Marin Medical Campus with critical injuries, where he was treated and stabilized. Officials said the victim continues to recover at home.
An investigation led detectives to Anthony Cozart, 18, of Larkspur, who the authorities allege is responsible for the shooting. According to the sheriff's office, detectives spent 10 days searching for Cozart, who previously lived in Mari and recently moved to Larkspur. Detectives said a deputy saw Cozart walking Wednesday near the area where the shooting took place and arrested him.
