Readers' Choice: Take A Mexican Vacation With This Local Favorite

Readers can't stop raving about longtime hangout Burritoville Cafe on Magnolia Avenue, which is why YOU named it the Best Mexican Restaurant in the Twin Cities area. Meanwhile, newcomer El Huarache Loco is gaining popularity.

Left Bank might be one of the glamour restaurants in the Twin Cities area, but there's a tasty hangout with a flair all its own just a few doors down Magnolia Avenue.

Burritoville Cafe
might sometimes be overshadowed by some of its gourmet neighbors, but it's hardly a secret. It's been a neighborhood treasure for years.

"One of my favorites in Marin!" wrote JimmyMarin on the Larkspur-Corte Madera Patch Facebook page.

Fans like Jimmy voted Burritoville Cafe the Best Mexican Restaurant in the Twin Cities area.

El Huarache Loco celebrated its grand opening on Monday, but there's already a loud buzz about the Marin Country Mart restaurant. Veronica Salazar's spicy dishes received the most votes in a very close poll. However, Burritoville Cafe scored bonus points with comments from its loyal fans to win the top spot.

The restaurant is conveniently located to attract folks heading to or from the Lark Theater, parents and students at Hall Middle School and Redwood High School, and anyone who just finished a workout at Mt. Tam Racquet Club.

So, what should you order at Burritoville? Elliott Magnuson suggests the carnitas burrito.

"Carne Asada Quesadilla with guacamole and sour cream. Yum!" according to Marko Kosta.
